Top 5 Fashion and Music Collaborations

1. Queens – Frontman Freddy Mercury alone is a music genius. People would buy their records for their music for their music sake but their concerts are a visual feast with pyrotechnics, huge lighting rigs, massive sound systems and leotards? Freddy Mercury frequently wore leotards reminiscent of his seventies attire. You might also remember him in drag singing “I Want To Break Free”, just one of his many coming-out-of-the-closet songs.

2. Lady Gaga – Do you know that her stage name “Lady Gaga” was actually inspired by one of the songs of Queen? It is true, the title of the song was Radio Gaga. So if Lady Gaga was inspired in more ways than one by the Queen, it should not come as a surprise to us about her bold fashion choices. Remember the telephone hairdo in her music video with Beyonce
“Telephone”, her meat gown for an awards show and the Mother Monster inside the egg costume are just some of the memorable fashion and music ensemble she donned. Wait! Don’t forget the 24 carat gold wheelchair she used while recovering from a hip surgery!

3. Michael Jackson – He is very much deceased but not his fashion and music. A lot of people still wear his “Thriller” costume during Halloweens and special presentations. He transformed into a zombie and then a moon – walking man wearing his black sequined jacket, white shirt, black pants and shoes. But when he was younger, still a member of the Jackson 5, you can see him belting tunes in psychedelic prints. Now, that’s unforgettable!

4. Spice Girls – Sooooo tell me what you want, what you really, really want? Their reunion performance in the London Olympics just made us remember why we loved them in the first place. Anyone who grew up with them would either fall into one of the five camps: Baby, Scary, Ginger, sporty or Posh. The camps represent different personalities and taste in fashion. Posh aka Victoria Beckham may have been in the lead when it comes to fashion. Sad that they have to be disbanded though.

5. Beyonce – She is Mrs. Carter now but way back, Beyonce and her mom Tina Knowles started their own fashion line. The name is House of Dereon. It was fueled by fans of Destiny’s Child wanting to wear what their group is wearing. She has fashion and music plus business. Way to go Queen B!

When you can tell that our criteria for Most Unforgettable Fashion and Music Collaborations involves shock value. Did our choices shock you?

Womens Leather Jacket: Three Simple Care Tips

This article for womens leather jacket is actually inspired by the casts of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Seriously, each character has been rocking their leather jackets in the movie. Logan a.k.a. Wolverine has been wearing his since the X-men Origins. Professor X a.k.a Charles Xavier traded his formal suit (but not the wheelchair) for a brown leather jacket and his frenemy, Magneto played by Michael Fassbender did as well.

Raven covered up with a womens leather jacket in black, although she does not have to because she’s a.k.a. Mystique played by 2014 FHM Sexiest Woman Jennifer Lawrence. She wore something like the one in the picture below…

Care for Womens Leather Jacket

Just to convince you why you need to have one… Womens leather jacket is really fashionable and fairly easy to maintain. All you need are these three easy reminders in women’s leather jacket care…

1. Know the type of leather. We’re not talking if it’s a crocodile from the swamps or from a very endangered fish (not making sense). What you need to know is if it is aniline, semi-aniline or pigmented leather. Aniline types of leather are the softest and most expensive. The semi-aniline and pigmented types are quite robust and for hard wearing.

2. Avoid stain. The best way to do this is to spray it with a suede and leather guard like a scotch guard for leather furniture. It is a spray on application that could avoid water from setting in. It works with stains and grimes as well.

3. Maintain the shape by putting it on a hanger. Like shoes, womens leather jacket stretches so to keep its shape you have to localize the stress in the leather.

See? Womens leather jackets are easy to maintain. Easier than how to remove red wine stains from a white dress which you can read here by the way:

The white gown hugged the figure of the actress in all the right areas and Wilkinson also recalled that “he [Russell] wanted to see every single lump and bump”.

Remove Red Wine Stain

Remove Red Wine Stain

Remove Red Wine Stain on Clothe or Carpet

Don’t go ga-ga over red wine stains yet. Here’s how you can remove red wine stain on your dress.

Common Items Used to Remove Red Wine Stain

1. Salt. It will fix the stain in a jiffy! Yes, sodium is used in the clothing industry to fix dye. So if the waiter in the restaurant accidentally pours red wine on your white dress, just grab the salt shaker and sprinkle some salt on the spot.

2. White Wine. Who knew that two wrongs make a right. Pour some white on the red wine stain. White wine counteracts the red wine making it easier to remove the original stain.

3. Hydrogen Peroxide. Remove red wine stain with a little science– or not. Hearing someone say hydrogen peroxide sounds fancy sciency to the ears but it’s actually easy to find. Drug stores sell it over the counter so the next time you have to remove red wine stain, make a quick detour to the pharmacy.

4. Mixed Household Items. You don’t like to pour your fancy white wine, salt alone is not working and you are lightyears away from the nearest pharmacy? Then just get some household items and start mixing. Get water, vinegar and soap and mix them together. Apply the ‘concoction’ to the stain, then blot it with clean rag and cold water. Then blot it again with a clean and dry cloth.

Also, it’s important to remember that when you are trying to remove a stain, always work from the outside of the stain toward the middle of the stain. This will make it easier to remove most of the stain and, at the same time, it prevents the stain from further spreading.

Although wearing a red dress might be a better preventive option. Think about it. You won’t have to remove red wine stain because you won’t even notice it on your red dress….Are we a genius or what?

Speaking of red dress, check out some designs available at
